I found a room in our garage that was designed to be a workshop, but it was empty except for a few things that were being stored. Recalling some conversations in the beauty shop with former clients, I remembered the whole discussion about husbands not wanting to leave their homes for apartment living. I talked to a senior who is known as “Grandpa Jim”.  He is still working at 72, driving a limo.  It didn’t take long to find out that what he really likes to do… make new connections with people allowing him the opportunity to help others in his own unique way.

He has been spending time at a wilderness camp in the summer for years, and they produce Pure Maple Syrup from the trees on the property in order to help fund the needs of the camp.  Jim decided that he would sell the syrup to help support the camp.  On his SUV it says, “Grandpa Jim’s Pure Maple Syrup” call… 651-633-5910 to order.  There is always has a case of the product in various sizes in Jim’s truck. I noticed that when the children were grown and established in their own lives I began thinking about different kinds of things.  Looking around at my possessions, I began to wonder why I wanted all that stuff?  A new freedom came to me when I realized that I was under no obligation to keep on in the same manner… I had the freedom to make new choices!  I began to dream and think about what I wanted to do with the near future.
