Rejoice!

the entire multitude was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him

Are you at peace with God and your word today? Are you in a time-frame where everything is going fine and troubles of the past are a memory? Will you enter into the rejoicing that can be your experience as you see what Jesus is doing in the lives of those people you know?

Luke 13: 10-17

17         And as He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire multitude was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him.

……. and the entire multitude was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him.

The multitude were the people in attendance at the worship service where these events occurred and possibly would include others who may have been pressing in outside the building. Jesus had done something glorious among them by healing the woman who was bent over.

I am certain that there were many other people nearby that day that needed healing as well. Perhaps Jesus healed many others that day while He was in that town. Jesus was doing glorious things among them that brought rejoicing as a response from a large number of people that could see, hear, feel and know what had happened.

There were also many people present that day that did not come with huge burdens or were not aware of great difficulties in their lives. Many were in those periods of life where everything is moving along well and life felt good and in fact was good. During such times, rejoicing, being very glad about the glorious things Jesus is doing among the people around us is a good response. It is a response that continues to build into our lives during the good times, an even stronger foundation that will prepare us for the difficult times that will no doubt come.

Are you at peace with God and your word today? Are you in a time-frame where everything is going fine and troubles of the past are a memory? Will you enter into the rejoicing that can be your experience as you see what Jesus is doing in the lives of those people you know?

Ask Him to open your eyes to see what He is doing in the lives of others.
Ask Him to fill you heart with His joy over the glorious things He is doing.
Ask Him to build into the foundations of your life during the good times.

Lord,  I rejoice as I see the glorious things You are doing in the lives of those around me. Thank you for this time of peace and freedom from trouble and sorrow. I know that you have provided these days and I am glad. Open my eyes today to see your glorious works.  Amen

This ends the days of e-mail discussions about the Daughter of Abraham who is a woman I love. I wish I knew her name! When I get to heaven I will find her and we will talk. I want to find out if I have understood her experience from the words I have to examine. I want to hear her tell it as she must have to so many others after the days events we have been looking at together. I want to touch her as Jesus did and tell her that I have rejoiced in my heart over the glorious thing Jesus did that day.

I hope that you will read the words of the Bible a bit differently now. I hope that you will think about the people you encounter in its pages. Who are they? What do they feel and why? Where were they and when did they live? How did they react?

I hope that you will pray as you read the pages of the Bible, asking the Spirit of God to help you see what application there is in its pages for you. I would love to know what you find out.

Enjoy dear ones! The feast available to you in the pages of Gods Word can never be exhausted. Rejoice!
